Sisyphus
Why do you grind?
Consistency is great and all, but I swear, some days I feel like this guy:
Sisyphus.
Pushing the boulder up a hill, only for it to roll down after reaching the peak, and having to repeat all that all over again. For eternity.
What kind of existence is that?
It’s absurd.
But yet we all do this.
Time and again.
Lifetime after lifetime.
The boulder is chasing likes instead of profit.
The boulder is trying to impress your peers instead of your customers.
The boulder is building an audience when your users are not your audience.
The boulder is inability to stick with a project till profitability.
The boulder is inability to let go of a project that isn’t working.
The boulder is working long hours, neglecting family.
The boulder is hopping from burnout to burnout.
We’re all Sisyphus.
Yet, Albert Camus counters:
One must imagine Sisyphus happy.
Despite the absurdity of the grind, we need to make meaning out of the madness, significance from the struggle.
We have to try.
