Deciding ain’t committing
Most confuse the two
Deciding ain’t committing.
Most conflate the two.
But they couldn’t be more different.
Deciding is setting a new year resolution on Jan 1st.
Committing is still grinding on it on Dec 31st.
Deciding is declaring a goal of $10k MRR to everyone on social media.
Committing is still working on it quietly years after zero results, 100% self-doubt.
Deciding is following the next big shiny object.
Committing is laying bricks on a boring project.
Deciding is buying the domain.
Committing is launching your SaaS in public.
Deciding is launching but leaving marketing till later.
Committing is launching and marketing, again and again.
Deciding is cheap.
Committing is expensive.
Deciding is not the first step of committing.
You can do the committing without the deciding.
Commit > decide

Can’t beat a good (git) commit 😊
