Better off not knowing
There's some things about being an entrepreneur that's better off not knowing
“Aerodynamically a bee’s body is not made to fly; the good thing is that the bee doesn’t know”.
Being indie hacker, being an entrepreneur, is like the bee. 90% or more chance of failure, yet we still do it. And many more sign up for failure every year.
It’s an (almost) impossible task. Yes here we are. Because most who start don’t know how hard it is. First time founders don’t know. They just try to fly anyway… while falling off the cliff.
Makes me think… what are some things we’re better off not knowing or ignoring, to increase our chances of success?
How difficult it is to even launch your first product
How difficult it is to even earn your first $1
How difficult getting to $1k revenue is
How the amount of work it entails is usually 2-3x more you think
How the time you need to get to your goal usually entails a few years more
How many hats you’re expected to wear, even though you’ve never trained or schooled in them
How taking advice might be more confusing than ignoring it, 90% of the time
How complete strangers will hate on you and your work, without reason
What else are we better off not knowing as entrepreneurs?
